Lodge Activities

Baobab Tree Climbing
By far the most popular and unique activity at Wildtracks is the Baobab tree climb. Using ropes, harnesses and helmets, this is one of our best past-times and not to be missed.

Bush Walk
Surrounding Wildtracks there are trails meandering through the riverine forest and mopane woodland. Walks of varying distance can be done and are fun for the whole family.

Sunset Cruise
This is one of our most popular ways to see the African sunset. Our knowledgeable staff guide you on a water safari up the Zambezi River pointing out a wealth of birds and animals along the riverbanks. If you’re lucky you may find a huge croc bathing in the sun or herd of elephant crossing the river in convoy.

Sunset Island Trip
There is no better way to wait for the African sun to set than taking a boat trip to a secluded island and enjoying drinks and nibbles around a campfire whilst listening to the noises of the river around you. During certain times of the year-when the river is low enough- you can opt to enjoy your sundowners on the sandbanks.

Lower Zambezi National Park
The road onwards to the Lower Zambezi National Park can be bumpy and long, so let us take you there by boat. This excursion sets off as the sun rises allowing you to enjoy an early morning river cruise. Once you arrive at the park entrance you are collected by a guide and vehicle to explore the park by road. As well as the usual game you are in with a chance of seeing prides of lion and packs of wild dog. At the end of the day, you can relax aboard the boat as you head back up stream to camp on a sunset cruise.
